Knightsbridge Business Sales have successfully negotiated the sale of A & J Stores Ltd, a Newsagent based in Dunfermline, Fife.
Established over 100 years ago, and in the ownership of our client since 2007, this convenience store and newsagent has built a loyal customer base and experiences excellent levels of repeat custom. The business offers a number of services including, a Payzone service, Lottery facilities, Paypoint, ATM, and have recently become a provider for the Hermes Parcel Drop collection service. A & J Stores also benefits from a vast paper delivery round covering a 15-mile radius which equates to around 3,100 deliveries per week, and experiences plenty of passing trade from the nearby football stadium.
Our client instructed Knightsbridge Business Sales to allow them to pursue other business interests. The team at Knightsbridge generated plenty of interest in this well-established business, with a number of viewings having been arranged. The business was sold to private buyers for £127,000. The new owners intend to work within the business whilst retaining the original staff.
