Alistair Savage Acquires Jonathan Kerby Manufacturing & Engineering Company | Case Study

We delivered on our client’s needs and received shining feedback for our holistic service… Jonathan Kerby Ltd is a specialist independent soft furnishings retailer that caters to made-to-measure requests for curtains, blinds, and more, predominantly serving the general public. Established in Cambridge in 2004, the company has been profitable every year since its inception, evidencing that it is very resilient in dealing with downturns in general trading conditions. Jonathan wanted to sell to allow time for alternative, unrelated hobbies. Although open to offers and structures, he ideally wanted a buyer with the same background. Operations Executive Jesse Daley took on the challenge… After creating healthy interest, Jesse located a buyer which Jonathan then built a good relationship with and was confident that he would be the right person to take his company forward: Alistair Savage, who lived in the area and wanted the opportunity to grow the business further. Following a triumph for all parties involved, Jonathan hailed the ‘successful business sale’ in a glowing review, explaining that he is ‘very pleased with the service received from Knightsbridge’. Jonathan added: ‘Jesse Daley has been particularly helpful throughout, and the communication with us as sellers has been clear, and updates provided throughout the sale. So yes, I am very happy with Knightsbridge.’ Signing off, Jonathan explained: ‘I would also add the solicitors they work with and recommended were brilliant. So it worked out as an excellent combination!’
