Knightsbridge facilitated the deal of Auto Technics UK to Perfect Paint UK… Auto Technics is a Maidenhead-based vehicle repair garage, initially established in 1981. Operating with a highly experienced team, it works with private customers as well as insurance companies – boasting an impressive 80% repeat customer base. Owner Dilip Kalyani made the decision to retire after running the business for over 25 years. Strong interest was generated by Operations Director Leanne Boulding, resulting in a substantial offer, the best of three in total. Knightsbridge persisted with the deal following complexities that led to delays; the finalised deal structure negotiated allows Dilip to extract the property into a newco, having the buyer as the tenant. Martin Weller is the said buyer, also residing in Berkshire, who was looking for a suitable add-on to his current business, Auto Bodyshop Group – an accident repair centre, which was formed in 2014 and acquired by Martin in 2021. He also runs 1991-established Perfect Paint UK, as well as the aforementioned Auto Bodyshop, which unlike the former is not based in Berkshire, but in the neighbouring county of Hampshire, in Southampton.
