Cox London Acquires Fabtech Engineering Manufacturing & Engineering Company | Deal Summary

In a deal overseen by Knightsbridge Commercial Operations Director, Sara Thomasson, metal fabrication company Fabtech Engineering has been sold to a thriving London-based atelier.

Cox London saw the potential of Fabtech Engineering in view of its synergy with their company. Fabtech specialise in bespoke furniture and commercial sheet metalwork machining, working with a wide range of clients across London and surrounding areas.

Prior to the final sale, Fabtech had generated interest from a number of potential acquirers. Five offers were received for the business whilst it was on the market before the seller settled on an offer that they were happy with. Knightsbridge Commercial worked closely with the seller to help them search for the best individual to pass on their work to, giving them more freedom to pursue alternative, unrelated ventures.

Cox London are a well-established business, providing collectible and limited-edition furniture and lighting products. They work with an international clientele of designers, architects, and private individuals. Their correlation with Fabtech’s furniture design and building capabilities makes them an appropriate party to take advantage of their resources and bring Fabtech into the future.

Sara Thomasson supported Fabtech throughout the sale of their business, managing a smooth negotiation process to find the best deal for another Knightsbridge client.
