How JD Profile Manufacturing & Engineering Was Sold to Altec Products
JD Profile manufactures and designs PVC profiles, bespoke extrusions and other parts including plastic plates, sheets, tubes and profiles. Quality-driven, the Company has always strived to provide only the best products for its clients within the electrical industry and construction trade.
JD Profile provides services to a total of 38 active clients, 100% of whom provide repeat business and with some relationships having lasted over 30 years. By supplying smaller clients within its specialist markets, the Company has retained an edge on its competitors.
Based in Buckinghamshire and within equidistance to London and Birmingham, JD Profile is well-situated to supply its products to a large proportion of the market. The Company presented several areas for growth, including enhancing their online presence and exploring other avenues for marketing, which was limited to direct telephone contact.
Our Clients wished to pursue retirement and the sale was managed by Knightsbridge Commercial Manager, Sara Thomasson, who generated a fair amount of interest for the business.
Two thirds of the interested parties expressed their desire to purchase by placing an offer. The buyer, Altec Products Ltd, is a manufacturer of plastic and rubber tubing and extrusions and provides clear synergies to JD Profile.
Having made previous acquisitions within the industry, Altec Products purchased the business in order to expand their service offering to meet the increasing demands of their clients.
