Little Birches Acquires Village House Nursery Childcare Company | Deal Summary

Village House Nursery, based in Tunbridge Wells, was established in 1994 and cares for children aged between 2 and 5 years old.

The Nursery prides itself on its ethos that every child is an individual and has a unique set of needs. Therefore the Nursery insists on small class sizes, 24 children, in order to tend fully to each child. This personal approach has seen Village House Nursery gain an excellent reputation locally, and an Outstanding rating. Ofsted stated the following in their 2016 report,

“Staff are exceptional at building on children’s interests and changing the environment and resources to provide an abundance of learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.”
Village House Nursery instructed Sara Manville, Knightsbridge Senior Sales Negotiator, with the sale in order to facilitate their retirement plans.

The Nursery attracted a staggering number of online views which generated a large number of viewings which resulted in offers.

The successful offer was made by Little Birches, a childcare specialist who share a similar ethos. However, they also focus on the importance of early years education to benefit the child in later life. Little Birches acquired Village House Nursery as a bolt-on to their current business.

Sara Manville maintained a superb relationship with both parties throughout the process. This is recognised in the 5* Trustpilot review she received from our client,

“Sara is absolutely fantastic and was critical in moving the deal to completion!”
Knightsbridge would like to wish our client all the best in their retirement.
