Based in Bury, Greater Manchester, our client has been a trusted provider of renewable technology installations for domestic and commercial clients since 2011.
The company delivers innovative solutions including solar PV systems, Tesla Powerwall, and air-source heat pumps, while also maintaining and repairing these installations.
After more than a decade of growth under its namesake founder, Steve Duckworth, the business is now being sold to unlock new opportunities under a fresh owner.
Knightsbridge Senior Deal Executive, Jennifer Morley, led the sale process and, supported by the wider research team, generated strong market interest for our client.
The opportunity attracted 73 active buyers, resulting in 15 viewings and 7 competitive offers, carefully managed by Knightsbridge to maximise the sale value.
Steve Duckworth Electrical was acquired by SAFE Group, also of Bury, which started in 2009 as Security and Fire Experts (SAFE) under the leadership of Mike Tobin.
SAFE Group has since grown to become one of the UK’s largest privately-owned providers of specialist services to the construction and facilities management sectors.
The acquisition marks SAFE’s entry into the Green Energy sector, enabling the Group to deliver clean energy solutions and advance its Net Zero journey.
